Internal Family Systems
What is IFS Therapy?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a respectful and empowering approach to therapy that helps you understand the many “parts” within yourself—like the inner critic, the anxious part, or the part that wants to avoid pain. IFS teaches that these parts are not bad or broken, but rather trying to help and protect you in the best way they know how. At the heart of this work is your “Self”—the calm, compassionate, confident core of who you are. IFS helps you reconnect with that Self and bring healing to your internal system.
How IFS Helps
Instead of fighting with difficult thoughts or emotions, IFS helps you get curious about them. By gently exploring your inner world, you learn how to better understand and care for the parts of you that are hurting, overwhelmed, or stuck. Through this process, deep healing becomes possible—not just symptom relief, but real transformation. You’ll begin to feel more balanced, grounded, and in control of your responses to life’s challenges.
