Shelby Grammenos, MSW, Supervisee in Social Work
Shelby brings a warm, compassionate presence to her work, creating a space where clients feel safe, understood, and empowered. She has a clinical interest in working with children, supporting new parents, and helping women navigate life's transitions. She is especially passionate about partnering with families to create systems that cultivate more peace, connection, and balance in the home. Her experience also includes supporting individuals navigating neurodivergence, trauma and stressor-related disorders, and anxiety.
Her approach is rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and she integrates mindfulness, radical acceptance, and somatic practices to support meaningful, values-driven change. She focuses on helping clients build self-compassion, strengthen boundaries, and develop tools they can use in their everyday lives.
Shelby believes that each client is the expert of their own life. She works collaboratively to improve present-day functioning while gently exploring past experiences when they are relevant. Her goal is to help clients feel more connected to themselves, both mind and body, while improving communication and creating space for safe, authentic emotional expression.
Outside of the therapy room, Shelby enjoys thrifting, reading, and spending time in nature which helps her stay grounded and connected in her own life as well.
